Eyelash extensions can be a great part of your cosmetic makeover. We’ve helped many customers to get longer, fuller lashes with signature and hybrid products and other types of neat packages. We want to utilize the newest state-of-the-art technologies to transform faces and highlight the natural charm and beauty that our clients walked in with.
With that in mind, there are some best practices for maintaining eyelash extensions after you’ve got them on.
Here are some tips to keeping your eyelash extensions in great shape:
You’re going to want to initially try to limit the moisture that your eyelash extensions come in contact with. That’s in order to help the glue to set, so try not to get your eyes wet for at least 24 hours.
Staying Away From Oil-Based and Waterproof Products
The oils in some other cosmetics can break down eyelash extensions, so it’s a good idea to take a hard look at what’s in your cabinet, and keep some of these products away from the area where your last extensions have been added.
For example, some makeup removers can end up damaging eyelash extensions, so making a slight detour can help you keep your lashes looking good. You can easily take off the heavy stuff on other areas of your face without putting your lash extensions in jeopardy, but this is a tip that not everyone knows about, so we try to give our clients a heads up.
Avoid Heavy Curling
You may be tempted to try to curl your lashes a lot – but with these new extensions, it’s kind of important to limit curling. Some of our clients curl lightly with an eyelash comb instead of doing curling that’s harder on the lashes. Also, obviously, try not to pick at them during the day.
Yes, you may want to brush your lashes a little. Again, the key is to move gently to avoid disturbing the glue, at least in the beginning. Brushing can help your lashes look their best – it’s kind of a balancing act – but don’t be afraid! We can help you to fix any issues that come up after you’ve started enjoying your lash extensions.
With the right care and attention, these can be a great addition to your beauty regimen. We have a great track record for helping a client to pick the right lash extension package, and we know a lot about related procedures to change the lashes and eyebrows.
